Friendship 2019 - 2020 - 2021

The Hilton Head (SC) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated came together in friendship to create Valentine's Cards for our love ones. We appreciate Salyon Johnson, Hospitality and Amenities chair for her creative leadership. Her talent is awesome! It was such a fun and sharing experience. Thanks to Jan Billingslea for hosting at Steve Helwig's Allstate agency. We plan to take our new found talent to come together again to create cards for residents in a local nursing home. Community service certainly comes from friendship bonding!!!

On August 25, 2019, the Hilton Head (SC) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated held the Second Annual Links Friendship Picnic. The event took place at the beautiful, rustic Sargent Jasper Park in Hardeeville, SC.

We were treated to a lovely meal served in the Banquet Hall of the facility. The meal was catered by Pinckney’s Food. It was quite the feast: Baked and Fried chicken, Mac/cheese, Potato Salad. Dirty Rice, Collard Greens and Tossed Salad. The desserts were Strawberry Cake and Peach Cobbler. We were also treated to Old Fashion Lemonade and Tea.

In addition to the delicious dinner guest were treated to freshly popped popcorn and potato chips.

The venue was beautiful. It’s beauty was further enhanced by lovely center pieces on the white covered tables created by Darcel Werts. Marva Neal was our DJ for the day and she entertained us with great Soul music.

Members and guest enjoyed the lovely weather while sitting in rocking chairs on the screened in porch overlooking a pond. Others enjoyed walking on the outside deck and sheltering under the gazebo. Everyone was entertained by a alligator that was begging for attention.

The day was beautiful. Camaraderie and friendship was the true focus of the day!

Our time to rejuvenate and reset has come around again. It’s the Hilton Head(SC) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated Retreat. The theme is relax, relate and retreat. This was a wonderful time at Ruby Lee’s South on Hilton Head Island on August 10, 2019.
